Adult Classes 2008 - 2009

January 2009

These classes have now finished until September - dates, times, venues will be available from this site in July.  In the meantime, below is information about the classes running earlier this year.

The Westhill class may continue until the end of May, please contact Lynn Wood for confirmation and dates.

The 2009 Spring term starts week commencing 5th January and will run for 10 weeks.  There is no mid-term break except for the Advanced class - 16th February.

We have an Open class designed for Beginners and anyone who would like to brush up on their technique and this is on a Tuesday at the Boys Brigade (on the corner of Crimon Place and Summer Street) - 7:30 - 9:00.  (See below for information on our Beginner's class at Westhill.)

For those who would like to do more Advanced technique, the Advanced class is on a Monday at St Margaret's (gymnasium) from 7:30 - 9:00.

If you would prefer to just dance then join us for the Social class on a Wednesday at the Boys Brigade Hall from 7:30 - 9:00.  Please note that this class is not suitable for beginners.  Alternatively, we run another Social class on a Thursday afternoon 2:00 - 3:30 at Holburn West Church.

All our classes have a musician and everyone is welcome.

As always we welcome new members and if you've never done Scottish Country Dancing before, we particularly welcome Beginners (click here for more information).  If you would like to know a little more about what Scottish Country Dancing is, click here.

Class at Westhill.  Our new class at Westhill has been very successful and will continue from January 13th.  8:30 - 10:00 at the Ashdale Hall in Westhill.  If you would like further information click here and click here for contacting the secretary.

For those of you who have attended a Ceilidh Class run by the RSCDS Aberdeen Branch in the past, sadly we are not currently offering a class this year

We are also running a teacher's Certificate class for those who would like to become an RSCDS qualified teacher.  The practical examination is planned for the weekend of 4th and 5th April - dancers willing to take part in this to aid the examinees would be most welcome.  Details will be circulated with the AGM papers.

Below are details of the class dates.  Click the links to see the class that would suit you!  If you would like any further information on any of the classes please contact: 01224 636128.
