Adult Classes 2010 |
| January 2010 Classes for Adults have now finished until September 2010 (dates still to be confirmed). Summer Socials run every Wednesday from 5th May to 25th August. Click here for more information. Click here for children's classes. Due to refurbishment of the Boys Brigade Hall no classes will run at this venue during the winter term. See below for individual locations of classes (and change of dates and times). The 2010 Autumn term starts week commencing 20th September and 11th January and will run for 10 weeks. There is no mid-term break although some classes are not consecutive. Please check dates for the Advanced, Improvers and Wednesday General carefully. Dates below for Classes commencing January 2010 and have now all finished. This page will be updated in July/August 2010. Beginners - this class is on Tuesday at Rosemount Community Centre on Rosemount Place. 7:45 - 9:15. Please note change of venue from January 2010. Start date : 12th January 2010. Improvers - this class is also on a Tuesday at St Margaret's School - General Purpose (GP) room. 7:30 - 9:00. This class is designed for those who have done some Scottish Country Dancing and would like to brush up on their skills, consolidate their dancing and learn new formations. Start date : 12th January 2010. There is no class on 2nd March 2010. Please note change of venue from November. Open/Beginners Class at Westhill. This runs on a Tuesday at the Ashdale Hall, Westhill 8:30 - 10:00. Start date : 12th January 2010.
Advanced - for those who would like to do more advanced technique, this class is on a Monday at St Margaret's from 7:30 - 9:00. Start date : 11th January 2010.
If you would prefer to just dance with a refresher of formations, then join us for the General class on a Wednesday at St Margaret's school GP (General Purpose) room from 7:30 - 9:00. This class is not suitable for beginners. Please note change of venue from January and new dates. Dates : January 6th, 13th, 20th 27th; February 3rd, 17th; March 3rd, 10th, 24th.
Alternatively, we run another General class on a Thursday afternoon 2:00 - 3:30 at Holburn West Church. Start date : 18th January 2010.
Very Advanced Class - this is designed for those who would like to perfect their technique and the class will work towards the Festival in March 2010. This runs on Sundays (not every week). Dates : 10/1, 31/1, 21/2, 28/2, 21/3 in 2010 Most of our classes have a musician and everyone is welcome. As always we welcome new members and if you've never done Scottish Country Dancing before, we particularly welcome Beginners. For those of you who have attended a Ceilidh Class run by the RSCDS Aberdeen Branch in the past, sadly we are not currently offering a class this year. Below are details of the class dates. This runs approximately every 3 weeks on a Sunday and will be working towards demonstrations and festivals.
